Living an organized life is one of the blessings that you can get in living on this Earth. To get one organized life is easier said than making sure it is in one. How to start having an organized life? The first step will always be to jot down whatever you want to do on the next day on the night before in your personal book so that it is easier for you to stay on the line knowing that you have a lot of things that need to be done on time.
In this technology era there are many apps on the Apple store for iPhone and Playstore for Android that can be downloaded on how to organize your day. It is easier to carry around and to check your schedule because if you write it in your notebook, the risk of not bringing it is very high and it will end up not helping in organizing your life. Next is to be consistent. Consistency is one of the keys to having a successful life. Once you keep the momentum you will get used to it and it will automatically become your daily routine and a part of you. If you feel unorganized remember the first step and sort out the works based on its due.
#2. Take supplement
People who easily get distracted never asked to be in that condition. Sometimes you get easily distracted either because you are too tired, hungry, have too many things on your mind that you get it done on time without missing one or maybe you tend to forget things. If you are willing to take out some money to overcome this problem you should invest it in supplements.
There are a lot of supplements that have been sold out there that can help people with the problem of “easily get distracted” or they should avoid junk food and start taking healthy diet food. It seems like it doesn’t really affect concentration but it actually does give a negative impact towards our mind. Some of the junk food consumed a lot of MSG or monosodium glutamate that can make our brains work slowly and hard to make decisions that lead us to become an indecisive person that can’t even make any decision for ourselves even at a critical time. To overcome that, you can buy a supplement that can help you to stay focused. As for example, B-vitamins, vitamin D3, omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin C and many more. But to save some money you can just eat dark chocolate, green leafy vegetables and avocados or simply just drink a lot of water as it can boost oxygen to your brain.
#3. Keep Yourself Away from Smartphones
Smartphones have been our worst distractions. We have to admit it. Some people create the term “FoMO” or known as fear of missing out. People nowadays have this problem that makes them check their phones even if there is nothing to be checked. Even if there is no important news or even any notifications they still keep on clicking the button to see whether there’s any news or update that they are missing out while there’s none. This has become worse because it occurs not just to the people at the age of 18 and above it also happens to the generation of our parents and our small siblings that is only 9 years old. Can you see how worst it is already?
There are ways on how to overcome this! One of them is downloading apps on time off. The apps will help you by making sure your other apps that you put in the settings under “locked” for a certain time cannot be open until the time has finished running as you set earlier. With this you can avoid yourself from playing with your phone while doing your work. In other words, leave your phone behind or create a phone use limit.
#4. Organized your Working Environment
If you are the type of person that hates working in a miserable environment then this will help you to improve your focus or concentration including managing your mood after practicing this. Having a workplace that suits your personality really can improve your daily life. Not just that, you also can take photos during your leisure time at your own place. I mean like how cool is that! You can be the most aesthetic person in the room with the cleanest work surrounding.
Decorate your place as you like. If you are a minimal type of person, invest in making your workplace look as minimal as you like. You are allowed to invest some of your money if that is counted as therapy for you but make a list for it first in case you need to save up some of your money. Just scared that you will overspend on the decorating. But if you are the type of person that prefers to have flowers on your desk, you can put flowers on your table but make sure you do not overdo it because too much of things around you makes you distract easier. Just make sure that your working area is neat, clean and smells good most of the time. The feeling of satisfaction can help you in boosting your mood to work and gain more concentration in finishing your job or even the mood of going to work.
Lastly, giving your best in doing your work will help you improve yourself in front of your manager. Somehow it will also help you to get more confident in making yourself stand out in your department. As we all know a good worker will always get the attention of the manager. Keep your motivation high at all times as it will bring out the best in you.
